Senior Bunker Trader - Denmark

Our client, a globally recognized player in the bunker trading industry with established operations across Europe and Asia, is now expanding into Northern Europe. They are seeking a highly experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Bunker Trader / Trading Manager to lead the launch of a new regional office in Denmark.

Key Responsibilities:

• Office Setup & Leadership: Establish and manage the Denmark office, overseeing everything from regulatory setup and infrastructure to daily operations.
• Business Development: Build and grow a profitable trading book by leveraging existing relationships and developing new client networks across Northern Europe.
• Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of bunker traders and support staff.
• Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a regional growth strategy aligned with the company’s global objectives.Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all trading activities comply with local and international regulations and internal risk frameworks.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in bunker trading, with a proven track record of profitability and client development.
• Strong network within the maritime and shipping sectors in Northern Europe.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and drive new initiatives.
• Previous experience in setting up or managing a trading desk or office is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
