We are now seeking a Senior Naval Architect to play a key role in delivering high-impact consultancy projects. This position is crucial in supporting and shaping naval programmes across all phases—from concept and acquisition through to in-service support. You will provide technical leadership across disciplines such as hull form design, seakeeping, stability, and weight estimation. Working on landmark defence projects including the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Tide Class and Future Solid Support Ships, you will also mentor junior team members and contribute to internal R&D initiatives that drive innovation.

 

Role Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Naval Architecture or a closely related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it with a clear plan.
  • Proven experience in the defence sector, with knowledge of classification societies and industry standards.
  • Strong technical background in hull design, stability, seakeeping, and manoeuvring, using tools like Paramarine.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and delivering high-quality project outcomes.

 

.UK security clearance is required, so candidates must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
