A world-leading cruise operator is seeking a skilled Senior Ship Manager to oversee the operational and financial management of its modern fleet. Based near London, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant running of a high-profile fleet.

Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for monitoring vessel performance, coordinating maintenance and repair schedules, and ensuring compliance with international regulations. You will act as a key liaison between shipboard and shoreside teams, supporting technical operations and driving continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and cost management. This role is ideal for a highly skilled maritime professional with a strong background as a Senior Cruise Ship Engineer. You will have extensive experience managing ship operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance, along with the ability to lead and mentor teams both onboard and ashore.

 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Extensive experience in ship management, marine operations, or a related field
  • Background as a Senior Cruise Ship Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, classification societies, and technical operations
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and optimise operational costs
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with international teams and travel as required
  • Chief Engineer license and sailing experience preferred
