Consortio are working with a leading ship management company with offices in all major shipping hubs in the world. They manage both and wet and dry vessels and have recently won a contract to provide the technical management of Tanker being operated in Europe. It is for these new acquisitions that my client require a Technical Superintendent to join their Greek office and support in this exciting growth for the business.
As Technical Superintendent you should bring vast experience of the cruise industry with market leading knowledge of these vessel types. You will be responsible for the technical management of up to 4 tankers that carry crude oil. Daily duties will include liaising with your Chief Engineers to ensure they are following the PMS to upgrade and maintain the ship to the highest standard. It is imperative that you are a clear communicator who regularly engages with their Engineers to build an on-board trust to ensure the safe and smooth operation of your vessels. You will pan and execute the dry-docking cycle to prevent downtime while staying within budget.
Successful candidates will:
- Have served as a Chief Engineer or senior 1st Engineer on board tankers.
- Have experience as a Technical Superintendent managing tankers is beneficial but not a prerequisite for the role.
- Be able to demonstrate great knowledge of the tanker market.Be fluent in English.
- Motivated to work in Greece.
- Have the right to live and work in the EU.
