Consortio are proud to be working with a global leader in ship management and marine services in search of a qualified Technical Superintendent. The Technical Superintendent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of two mid-sized cruise vessels based out of Southampton. Responsibilities include managing the technical performance of the vessels, overseeing daily technical operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and coordinating ship repair and dry-docking. Additionally, the Superintendent will monitor and follow up on the vessel’s technical performance and defined KPIs and take immediate actions to adjust and improve performance in case of non-conformities or deviations.

 

Qualifications needed for the role:

  • Extensive experience in technical management within the maritime industry, preferably with cruise vessels
  • Proven track record in managing technical operations and maintenance for Passenger or Cruise vessels
  • Sailing experience is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage and interact effectively with diverse teams
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • In-depth knowledge of international and national maritime regulations and compliance standards
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in financial management with experience in budgeting and cost control
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to develop innovative solutions
