We are seeking a qualified and motivated Technical Superintendent to join our client’s technical team in Singapore. This critical role is focused on maintaining the safety, economic efficiency, and compliance of a designated fleet of vessels. The Technical Superintendent will work closely with shipboard management and other key stakeholders, ensuring that vessels operate smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with international standards. This role is central to sustaining and advancing the company’s high standards for safety, environmental responsibility, and technical performance.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Marine Qualifications: A marine degree with at least three years of experience onboard ships or in the shipping industry. Alternatively, a Chief Engineer’s license with a minimum of two years of sea service as Chief Engineer, or prior experience as a Technical Superintendent with another shipping company for at least two years.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven leadership and effective communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • English Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language, essential for effective communication across multinational teams.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of the maritime industry, including relevant regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Technical and Financial Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of vessels under management, coupled with experience in budget management, purchasing, and cost control.

 

This role is based in Singapore and is open only to Singapore nationals or permanent residents who are ready to make a significant impact on the maritime industry through dedicated technical and operational oversight.
