Consortio is proud to be partnering with a highly respected international shipowner with an established reputation for delivering first-class container shipping operations across the globe. With a modern fleet, a strong commitment to safety, innovation, and technical excellence, this organisation has built a reputation for investing in both its vessels and its people. Operating from strategically located offices worldwide, they offer a collaborative working environment where experienced maritime professionals are empowered to make a genuine impact on fleet performance and operational success.

Due to continued fleet growth, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Technical Superintendent or Technical Superintendent to join their Southampton office. This is a pivotal position responsible for the safe, compliant, and cost-effective management of a fleet of container vessels. Working closely with onboard teams, classification societies, suppliers, and senior management, you will oversee maintenance strategies, dry dockings, technical budgets, and vessel performance while ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational reliability, supporting engineers onboard, and driving continuous improvement across the fleet. This opportunity offers the chance to join a forward-thinking shipowner where your technical expertise will directly influence fleet efficiency and long-term success.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent, with candidates possessing 6+ years' shore-based experience considered for the Senior Technical Superintendent position.

Sailing experience as a Chief Engineer on ocean-going vessels, ideally within the container sector.

Experience with dual-fuel or LNG-powered vessels would be advantageous.

Proven experience managing dry dockings, planned maintenance systems (PMS), technical budgets, repairs, and vessel inspections.

Strong understanding of international maritime regulations, safety management systems (SMS), classification requirements, and technical compliance.

Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships across vessel crews, suppliers, and shore-based teams.

If you are looking to join a reputable global shipowner where your technical expertise will be recognised and rewarded, we would be delighted to hear from you. Apply today or share this opportunity with colleagues within your network who could be the perfect fit.
