Technical Superintendent

The company is now seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to join its technical department in Leer. This is a key position with responsibility for the safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of an assigned fleet. You will work closely with vessels, Masters, Chief Engineers, shipyards, class societies and suppliers, taking ownership of technical performance, maintenance and repairs while ensuring vessels remain fully compliant and commercially operational.

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Technical Superintendent, ideally within General Cargo, Multipurpose, Short-Sea or similar vessel operations.

A strong marine engineering background, with previous seagoing experience ideally to Chief Engineer level or equivalent.

Comprehensive knowledge of planned maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, class requirements, statutory compliance and technical procurement.

Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple vessels, projects and stakeholders while maintaining a practical, hands-on approach.

Professional English language skills are essential; German language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
