Our client is an internationally renowned ship owner who are currently expanding their fleet over the next 3 years. Our client are also diversifying currently by bringing new vessels to their fleet to respond to the ever increasing need of mobile production platforms. They currently own a sizable fleet of LNG vessels as well as offshore assets, tankers and dry cargo ships.

This role is a once in a life time opportunity for the right Engineer. You will rarely find a position with such a variety of responsibilities and focus of work. This role will constantly be developing as your skill sets will be utilised in different ways at different stages of the business. You will be working for the research, business development, proposal and implementation branch of my client which is a highly-specialised team that researches and develops unique and often market leading opportunities for a new asset.

You will:

  • Hold a Class one engineering ticket.

  • Having experience in new building or planned maintenance would be an advantage as would having been ashore previously.

  • Must have experience on DFDE or TFDE engines.

  • Additional understanding of electronics would be an advantage.

  • Have the current right to live and work in the UK.

This is a position that not every engineer will jump for as it’s not the typical technical superintendent job most engineers strive for when they come ashore. This position will provide a different set of challenges keeping you very hands on with the fleet and actively involved with our client’s new builds. This role will see you personally project managing through new technology in to the fleet and overseeing the protocols in doing so. They will provide an excellent package for the right candidate.
