Consortio Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a highly respected and globally recognised ship management company to recruit a Technical Superintendent (Tankers) for its Singapore office. With an established reputation for delivering first-class technical management and operational excellence, our client manages a modern tanker fleet while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility. This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable and expanding organisation that invests heavily in both its people and fleet.
As a Technical Superintendent, you will take full technical responsibility for a fleet of tanker vessels, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with international regulations and company procedures. You will oversee maintenance planning, repairs, dry dockings, budgeting, certification, and overall vessel performance while working closely with onboard management and shore-based teams. This is a highly influential position that requires strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and excellent communication skills to ensure the fleet continues to perform at the highest level. Due to the nature of the fleet and stakeholder interactions, Mandarin language skills are essential for this position.
Requirements
- Chief Engineer's Certificate with a minimum of two years' sea service as Chief Engineer, a relevant marine degree with shipping experience, or previous experience as a Technical Superintendent managing tanker vessels.
- Strong technical knowledge of tanker operations, planned maintenance, dry dockings, international maritime regulations, and classification requirements.
- Proven experience managing technical budgets, purchasing activities, and delivering cost-effective fleet performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships both ashore and onboard.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across regional teams and support vessels operating throughout Asia.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced tanker professional to join a leading international ship manager in Singapore, offering long-term career development, exposure to a high-quality fleet, and the chance to play a key role in maintaining world-class technical standards.
