Consortio has partnered with an exciting company dedicated to keeping Britain’s busiest inland waterway safe. They run the most up to date port control service and they see the safe movement of thousands of leisure and commercial vessels every year. They are responsible for 100 miles of river as well as protecting the environment and keep all users safe, they also promote the use of the river for trade and travel. Due to their continued success they are looking for a Watch Manager to join their company.

As a Watch Manager you will be able to look after all the regulation and monitoring of marine traffic ensuring that the company complies withal regulations when it comes to vessels movements. You will get the chance to deal with developing unsafe situations and liaise with emergency services when it comes to safety of life incidents. You will also be supervising the vessel traffic service and also supervising all of the operations room staff within the area of operation.

 

To be eligible for this role you need to:

  • Have the right to live and work in the UK.
  • Have sailed up to Chief officer or be an experienced Vessel Traffic Officer.
  • Have excellent communication and decision making skills.
  • Have a senior STCW Certificate.
  • Speak fluent English.
