Our client is a large international shipping business who have ships such as LNG, chemical and bulk. Due to recent expansion, they are on the lookout for a Bunkering Assistant Manager to join their trading division. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of operator’s orders using company systems for the purchase of bunker fuels. Furthermore, you will be expected holding tenders in the purchasing of bunker fuels and report back to the head office on all developments. In addition to this you will need to meet with local bunker suppliers, trading houses and oil companies whilst also attending bunker conferences around the globe. Finally, you will need to ensure that there is effective communication between you and all other relevant departments to ensure maximum efficiency.~
 

To be considered for this role you must:~
 

  • Have 2 years’ experience in Bunker Operations / Purchasing.
     
  • Have previous experience handling bunker fuel orders.
     
  • Be and adaptable team player that is excited by a fast and challenging environment.
     
  • Speak English fluently – both written and verbal.
     
  • Have the existing right to work in the UK
