A fast-growing and well-regarded operator in the global dry bulk market, this company has built a strong reputation for its commercially driven approach, reliable performance, and expanding international footprint. With a focus on agile operations and long-term relationships, they continue to grow across key shipping hubs and trade routes.
We are seeking an ambitious Chartering Manager based in Singapore to lead the firm’s Panamax and Supramax chartering in the Pacific region. In this role, you will actively negotiate and fix long-term and spot vessels on cargoes such as coal, grains, ores, fertilizers, and cement across Asia–Pacific lanes, working closely with both owners and brokers. You will take responsibility for fleet allocation, freight market analytics, tonnage planning, and period coverage, as well as P&L oversight and coordination with the FFA desk for derivatives planning and bunker swaps.
The requirements for this role are:
- Strong Panamax and Supramax fixing experience in the Pacific region (e.g., NOPAC, US Gulf, Southeast Asia)
- Proficiency in both tonnage planning and operating vessels commercially
- Immediate access to ready-made industry contacts (owners, charterers, brokers) that can be brought into the role day one
- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written
This position offers the chance to be part of a high-performing team in one of the world’s key maritime hubs. With strong deal flow, access to global cargoes, and a flat commercial structure, you’ll have the freedom to drive your own fixtures while contributing to broader strategy. The role comes with a competitive salary, results-based incentives, and the opportunity to develop your career in a company that prioritizes trust, responsiveness, and commercial impact.
