Our client is a well-established and reputable global shipping company with an extensive dry cargo fleet. Specializing in the transportation of bulk commodities, the company has a strong presence in key international markets and is known for its commitment to excellence, safety, and sustainability. Due to ongoing expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Dry Cargo Chartering Manager specializing in Parcelling to join their dynamic team in Hong Kong. In this senior role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the parcelling operations within the dry cargo segment, working with both external clients and internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of vessel charters. You will negotiate and secure charters, monitor cargo flow, and coordinate the scheduling of parcels to optimize fleet usage and profitability. Additionally, you will maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including charterers, brokers, and vessel owners, to ensure successful transactions and operational efficiency.
To be considered for this role you must:
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in dry cargo chartering, with a strong focus on parcelling.
- Proven experience in negotiating vessel charters and managing parcelling operations within the dry bulk sector.
- Strong understanding of shipping logistics, cargo flow management, and optimizing vessel operations.
- Be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Have the ability to relocate to Hong Kong and work from the office.
- Be an excellent negotiator with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of market trends and client needs.~
