Consortio is proud to be working in partnership with an established and internationally operating ship management organisation based in Germany. With a steadily expanding fleet and a strong operational footprint across global trade routes, this company is recognised for its structured crewing operations and long-term approach to employee development. As part of continued fleet growth and internal team strengthening, they are now seeking to appoint a Crew Operator to join their office.
This position plays a key role within the crewing department, supporting the coordination and administration of seafarers across a fleet of managed vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising national and international crew changes, maintaining accurate personnel documentation, and ensuring certification compliance in line with maritime regulations. Acting as a central communication point between vessels, agents, and internal stakeholders, the role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to operational changes. Working within a team of five crewing professionals, the position offers exposure to both administrative precision and real-time operational coordination, with structured training available for candidates entering the sector.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- Fluency in German and strong English communication skills
- Based in Bremen or willing to relocate independently
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities with high attention to detail
- Interest in maritime operations and crew management processes
- Confident communicator comfortable working with international stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
This opportunity offers a permanent position within a stable and growing ship management company operating from a modern city-centre office with excellent transport links. The successful candidate will benefit from hybrid working flexibility, 26 days’ annual leave, standard German employment benefits, company health and accident insurance, pension contributions, and structured onboarding support. With additional vessels joining the fleet this year, this is an excellent time to join a collaborative team environment where long-term development is encouraged. If this role aligns with your experience and ambitions, Consortio invites you to submit your CV for confidential consideration.
