The company is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to take responsibility for the safe, efficient and reliable technical operation of an assigned fleet. In this role, the successful candidate will drive vessel performance, ensure compliance with industry best practice, lead a team overseeing daily technical operations, and support the smooth running of the UK office. The position calls for proven leadership, sound budgetary oversight, dry-docking experience and an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of safety and environmental protection.
 

The requirements for this role are,
 

  • Certificate of Competency Class 1 and minimum 2 years’ service as Chief Engineer
     
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Fleet Manager managing a team and at least 20 vessels (containers; tankers considered)
     
  • Strong understanding of shore-based operations and technical/operational responsibilities
     
  • Proven ability to manage technical, operational and budgetary requirements
     
  • Familiarity with PMS and SMS systems and experience with dry-docking
     
  • Competency using modern technology/software to improve vessel performance
     
  • Prior experience leading a multinational team advantageous
