My client is a provider of global maritime services with roots in Hamburg and home ports all over the world. They see themselves as a company group rich in tradition yet future-oriented, providing tailor-made solutions for the entire shipping industry.

 

Your tasks and responsibilities: 
 

Oversee and manage the training and assessment programs for all crew members in the company’s fleet 

Lead and manage the Hamburg and Manila based Learning & Development team for our seafaring personnel

Develop and implement global training strategies for crew members, ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company standards

Continuously assess and improve training effectiveness through evaluations, feedback and performance analysis 

Establish and maintain partnerships with external training centres, maritime academies and universities

 

Your profile

 

Successful completion of a degree in maritime studies, human resources or a related field Maritime certifications such as STCW, ISM or ISPS, ideally with management experience on board

Longstanding experience in maritime training or a related operational role within the shipping industry 

Distinctive leadership skills, preferably with managing international and remote teams

Intercultural competence

Fluent written and spoken business English
