Our client is a large and international shipping company with deep roots in both Asia and Europe. Having over the years expanded through natural and organic growth combined with strategic acquisition they have positioned themselves to be one of the most sizable players in the market. With assets ranging from tankers, chem tankers, FPSO’s and dry bulk they are well positioned to extract the best profits from the market possible. As a business, they believe in moving people from their fleet and training and developing their team to be the best it can be. However occasionally there is an opportunity to join their business as no one is available to be released from their fleet to take a shore based post. They are currently building a new office up in Houston to expand their current interests in the Gas market and require a Marine Superintendent to support the team.

As Marine Superintendent, you will be required to act generally under the direction of the Marine Manager.   The role will involve advising on marine, navigation, mooring and cargo issues.  Further responsibilities will include carrying out ship / shore compatibility and Optimoor studies.  This exciting opportunity will also give you scope to visit vessels and carry out navigation audits, SIRE and Pre-sire inspection.  Key to success in this role will be your ability to communicate effectively with your clients and captains building positive working relationships

To be suitable for his role:

  • You will have sailed as Master Mariner or Chief Officer on board of Gas tankers.

  • You will have shore based experience with Gas tankers.

  • Must have the right to live and work in Singapore

  • Must have excellent command of the English language.

Should you be successful in your application you will be provided with a competitive salary and the chance to progress your career with a growing global organisation.
