Managing the movement of numerous leisure and commercial vessels annually, they oversee 100 miles of river, ensuring environmental protection and the safety of all users. Additionally, they actively promote the river for trade and travel. As a result of their continued success, they are seeking a skilled Marine Engineering Technician to join their team.

Role Overview:

As a Marine Engineering Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining hull systems and machinery for a diverse fleet of commercial crafts, piers, and shore facilities. Utilizing your advanced diagnostic and analytical skills, you will address issues in electrical, mechanical, and control systems across the fleet. This role also involves conducting maintenance and overhauls of engines and gearboxes to ensure compliance with safe working conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake maintenance of hull systems and machinery for commercial crafts, piers, and shore facilities.Utilize advanced diagnostic and analytical skills to address issues in electrical, mechanical, and control systems.Perform maintenance and overhauls of engines and gearboxes to ensure compliance with safe working conditions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Marine or Industrial Mechanical Engineering Technician with an HNC in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • 2 years of post-qualification experience in engineering services.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
