Our client  an independent offshore and marine engineering company is renowned for its expertise in hydrodynamics, mooring, and subsea solutions. With offices in Nice (France), Hong Kong, and Southampton (UK), they serve a diverse clientele, including wind farm developers, floating solar power startups, and global leaders in the oil and gas industry.

 

Their goal is to double their operations by 2025, and they are seeking talented individuals to join their team. They provide a dynamic and flexible work environment, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.

 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Executing hydrodynamic assessment of floating structures (ships, F[P]SOs, floating wind turbine, offloading buoy etc.
  • Mooring, subsea umbilical riser and flowline design and analysis
  • Offshore transportation and installation analysis (T&I)
  • Floating structure stability and station keeping assessments
  • Liaising with a team of draughtsmen to deliver requested documentation
  • Preparing work packages or equipment specifications such a model test specifications or mooring equipment specifications
  • Interacting with clients and potential customers by providing commercial and technical support to the Business Development team
  • Inspecting shipyards and workshops when necessary

 

Required qualifications:

  • Master of Engineering in Naval Architecture Ship Science or Offshore technology
  • 3+ years of professional experience in renewables or oil and gas
  • Proven relevant experience in the analysis of offshore floating structures
  • Working knowledge of relevant software such as Hydrostar, Ariane or OrcaFlex
  • Working knowledge of Python programming language
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • French would be an advantage but is not required

 

Candidates may be based in UK or France and will need to have the right to live and work in the respective countries
