Consortio have exclusively partnered with a large offshore energy engineering consultancy who are expanding their design team at all levels. Our client is known the world over for their diverse and multidisciplined team who are one of the leading lights in the market in offshore consultancy and advisory services, especially in the Marine Warranty Surveying sector, as well as deploying a strong team of Naval Architects and Engineers in their offshore structural design and analysis teams. Due to an increase in demand for renewable and floating structures, our client would like to take on a Naval Architect


In this role as a Naval Architect, you would be expected to participate in and manage analytical reviews, documentation review and risk assessments of offshore marine operations, especially focusing on mooring, T&I and loadout. This role will provide the successful candidate an opportunity to work in an ever-developing renewable energy market where you will continuously be involved in the project management of our client’s advisory services. Due to the global nature of this role, you will be expected to travel, sometimes at short notice, to site locations, ranging from a short trip to the North Sea or potentially jetting off to the Far East. Our client is looking for somebody who can also dedicate some of their time to the mentoring and managing of more junior staff members.

 

To be successful in this role you will have:
 

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in offshore engineering design. 
     
  • An MSc or MEng in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or Structural Engineering  
     
  • The right to live and work in the UK  
     
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills  
     
  • Experience on project management or project engineering in both oil and gas OR renewables projects
