Consortio is proud to be partnered with a specialist provider in the offshore shipping and industrial sectors, as they seek a motivated Technical/NDT Inspector to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their expertise in inspection services, working across a diverse portfolio of vessels and projects. With structured training, certification opportunities, and clear routes to progression, you will play a key role in maintaining safety and quality standards across the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting ultrasonic wall thickness measurements, corrosion inspections, and a range of NDT techniques (UT/MT/PT/VT/ET).
  • Performing visual inspections, hatch tightness testing, and providing dry dock assistance.
  • Assessing vessel condition and preparing detailed inspection reports.
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients and managing the administrative processing of orders.
  • Supporting material inspections and testing in line with international norms, codes, and quality standards.
  • Travelling globally to carry out inspections on board vessels for short- to medium-term assignments.

Requirements

  • Completed technical education to at least MBO level, preferably in mechanical engineering, shipping, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to perform under time pressure and adapt to challenging environments.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Affinity with shipping and willingness to work on board vessels worldwide.
  • NDT Level II certification is advantageous but not required.
  • Leadership potential, with opportunities to progress into a managerial role.
