My client is a leading maritime service provider, operating a diverse fleet of approximately 400 vessels, including container ships, bulk carriers, and multi-purpose vessels. With a global team of around 6,800 professionals, they are committed to delivering safe, efficient, and reliable service solutions across the maritime industry. Their philosophy emphasizes customer satisfaction through extensive industry knowledge, proactive risk management, and a transparent flow of information. They prioritize safe navigation and onboard security, ensuring their officers and crew members regularly participate in specialized training programs.

They are seeking a dedicated and experienced QHSE Superintendent to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that our fleet complies with industry standards and client requirements by conducting thorough vetting processes and providing expert guidance on marine assurance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external parties regarding vetting requirements.Monitor the vetting inspection status for the fleet and arrange inspections as needed.Conduct pre-vetting inspections and assist vessels during vetting inspections.Prepare ships and follow up on vetting inspections in collaboration with Masters, Chief Engineers, and internal stakeholders.Maintain external vetting databases and related documentation.Analyze vetting inspection results for management review.Monitor industry rules, regulations, and new requirements, and evaluate potential changes for the company's management system.

Qualifications and Experience:

Seagoing experience as Master or Chief Officer on bulk carrier or tanker vessels, or a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Vetting Superintendent.

Persuasiveness, enthusiasm, and the ability to contribute positively as part of a team.

Effective interpersonal communication skills.Good self-organization, structured working approach, and effective time management.

Self-motivation and the ability to work under time pressure.

Fluency in spoken and written English.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Good presentation skills.
