We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Senior Naval Architect with 5-8 years of expertise to enrich our clients vibrant engineering team. This role is pivotal in spearheading and overseeing various facets of marine engineering projects, spanning from initial concept to project completion and delivery. As a Senior Naval Architect, you will harness your extensive knowledge in naval architecture to devise innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and client specifications. Collaborating closely with the commercial team, you will streamline project workflows and contribute to the successful execution of design and engineering endeavors.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the engineering team, offering technical guidance and mentorship to Junior Naval Architects.
  • Define project scopes and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration within the team and with project stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough calculations, simulations, and engineering analyses to validate design concepts and specifications.
  • Undertake feasibility studies, conceptual design, and preliminary analyses to identify optimal solutions.
  • Employ advanced software tools and simulation techniques to model, analyze, and optimize vessel performance, stability, and structural integrity.
  • Engage with clients, flag state regulators, classification societies, and shipyards to ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture.
  • Master of Engineering in Naval Architecture.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification.

Mandatory Software Skills:

  • AutoCAD.
  • Rhino.
  • Autodesk PDM Collection (including Recap, Inventor, Nastran).
  • Microsoft Suite.Maxsurf and GHS.
