In this role as a Naval Architect you will be working in a diverse and talented team of Design Engineers and Naval Architects contributing to the design and engineering analysis of commercial, defence and passenger vessels. Within the role you are expected to be involved in the whole initial and conceptual design of the vessel as well as offer design assurance and stability/structural analysis. The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own time and manage several projects at once, with an experienced candidate also able to step into a management role on day one, mentoring a team on a daily basis – this will, over time develop into a more operational management role, with my client expecting the successful candidate to contribute to tender and bid processes.

To be successful in this role you should:

  • Have a BSc/MSc in Naval architecture or Ship Science
  • Experience across a broad range of ship design activities including hullform design, stability, structures and marine systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Statutory and Class Rules
  • Expereince in AutoCAD, maxsurf, GHSm NavCAd, EVEVA or other 3D shipbuilding design packages
  • Apply latest standards, guidelines, methods and technical to analytical methods
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK

This is a great opportunity to, from day one, join a strong consultancy in a mentoring/management role. If you’re interested in working for a company that provides a solid platform for personal and professional growth, this could be the role for you so get in touch or apply!
