Our client are the UK’s leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions business that work in an array of different industries and sectors. Consortio have partnered with their marine division who are compromised of hardworking and driven individuals who are constantly seeking ways to take the company to new heights. Their fleet of 4 dredgers are purpose built for aggregate dredging and they supply high quality natural sand and gravel aggregates into major UK construction projects. They are constantly searching for innovative ways to build a sustainable future from both a company and environmental perspective.
 

The role is for a Ship Manager, and you will be responsible for the preparation of repair and maintenance specifications and detailed planning to ensure budgetary requirements are accurately forecast. You will have management responsibilities of ship staff to ensure safety and performance standards are maintained to the highest level. In addition to this you will be expected to effectively plan and manage drydocking’s, ensuring deadlines are met.
 

In order to be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 

  • Chief Engineer experience on Offshore Vessels.
     
  • Experience on Dredgers will be seen as an advantage.
     
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be seen as an advantage.
     
  • Strong IT and communication skills.
     
  • Full UK driving license.
