Consortio Recruitment Group is currently supporting a client with the appointment of a Shipbuilding Project Manager based in the UK. This is a senior-level opportunity within a large-scale vessel development programme, offering involvement across the full lifecycle of complex ship construction projects from early-stage design through to delivery and final handover.

In this role, the Shipbuilding Project Manager will act as a key technical and project interface between internal stakeholders and external shipyard partners. Responsibilities include coordinating technical reviews, supporting design development, reviewing engineering documentation, monitoring construction progress, and ensuring alignment with agreed specifications, timelines, and quality standards. The position requires close collaboration across multiple disciplines, proactive management of risks and interfaces, and ongoing oversight to ensure successful project execution from concept through to completion.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Extensive experience within passenger vessel operations
  • Strong shoreside background in technical management or shipbuilding / newbuild environments
  • Proven experience working directly with shipyards on large vessel construction projects
  • Solid understanding of international maritime regulations including IMO, SOLAS, and MARPOL
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required

This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in complex vessel development projects within a highly technical and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering advanced vessels while contributing to high standards of safety, compliance, and engineering excellence. The position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work on challenging and high-value marine projects.
