The ideal applicant should possess a range of technical skills and expertise to excel in the role. They should be capable of writing clear, concise documents that effectively communicate ideas and define technical requirements. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in producing precise technical drawings for electrical control systems using CAD software. Familiarity with low voltage control equipment and control circuit design is essential, along with the ability to specify and select appropriate components for low voltage control systems. A foundational understanding of programming is also required, with a preference for experience in real-time applications.

 

Skills:

-  Good understanding of programmable logic controllers and their I/O structures

- Be familiar with graphical interfaces (HMIs), their data collection methods and configuration tools

- Knowledge of serial communications and networking used in an industrial environment Applications knowledge that would be of advantage

- Electrical power distribution and switching at low and medium voltage

- Electrical machine basics (generators, transformers, motors)

- Prime movers and generators used in industry

- Electrical protection devices

- Power & energy monitoring devices
