Technical Purchaser

Our client is an international ship managemnent company that provides a number of services for the maritime industry.  They are truly a global force that has a reputation for reliability, quality and efficiency with a fleet of dry vessels in their ownership.  Due to expansion of the fleet they require a technical purchaser to support the procurement team in Hong Kong.

The role’s responsibilities include overseeing the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective operations and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

For candidates to be successful in such a role, they should possess:

• Experience in a similar purchasing role or in operations within the maritime industry.

• Sailing experience, which would be beneficial but not mandatory.

• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively in an international environment.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• The ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic work setting.

• A motivation to work in Hong Kong and the right to live and work in the HK
