Consortio is proud to be partnering with a prestigious and well-established ship management company based in the UK. As they continue to expand their operations and reinforce their commitment to excellence, they are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Technical Superintendent to play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance of their growing fleet.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this position is based in Southampton or London, with flexible hybrid working options. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a diverse fleet, minimising vessel downtime, driving safety and compliance, and implementing industry-leading maintenance and repair programmes. You will be responsible for optimising vessel performance, managing dry-docking and repair budgets, and ensuring that all maintenance operations run seamlessly. In addition, you will collaborate with Crew Managers to maintain exceptional crewing standards and play an integral role in selecting and mentoring senior officers.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold at least a Class II Certificate of Competency or an equivalent military qualification, or possess a degree in a Marine Engineering-related discipline.
  • Have extensive experience as a sea-going Engineer, ideally with 15 years of marine experience.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of technical management, vessel operations, ISM requirements, and Flag and Class regulations.
  • Possess strong budgetary management skills and a proven ability to oversee complex maintenance and repair programmes.
  • Show proficiency in Microsoft Office and AMOS software, with the ability to utilise digital tools for efficient fleet management.
  • Have a track record of successful team leadership and development.

Candidates with project management expertise, auditing experience, and a background in both government and commercial operations will be at an advantage. This position is only open to individuals with an existing right to work in the UK, and the successful applicant must pass a BPSS check before commencing employment. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking company that values technical expertise, innovation, and career progression. If you are ready to take your career to the next level and make a real impact within a dynamic and growing organisation, apply today by submitting your CV.
