In this role, you will be responsible for the technical condition and operational readiness of a group of vessels. Your work will involve close coordination with onboard crews, ensuring planned maintenance, regulatory compliance and performance standards are consistently met. You will collaborate with internal departments, arrange repairs and surveys, and support vessels in day-to-day operational matters to maintain safe and efficient operations.
The requirements for this role are:
- Experience in technical vessel management or a similar shore-based marine position
- Strong engineering background; a Second Engineer (Class 2) CoC or above is preferred
- Solid understanding of international maritime regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with short-sea or RoRo vessels is beneficial
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with ship and shore teams
- Flexibility to travel regularly for vessel attendance and operational needs
- A methodical and proactive approach to managing technical tasks
- Ability to remain calm, organised and solution-oriented in dynamic situations
- Valid EU or UK driving licence
