Key Responsibilities:

Overall management and technical operation of assigned vessels.Regular on-board visits to monitor ship operation, technical performance, safety requirements, and vessel condition.Planning, tendering, monitoring, and coordination of repairs and shipyard times.Budget planning, monitoring vessel expenditure, and reporting.Liaison with classification societies, flag state administration, and regulatory bodies.Introduction and compliance with all legal regulations, e.g., ISM, UVV, MARPOL, SOLAS, etc.Advising vessel senior staff and submitting appraisal reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

Completed studies in ship engineering.

Dry Cargo experience - Bulk/Container 

Extensive experience in a responsible position as Chief or Second Engineer. 

Shore based Experience as Technical Superintendwnt - 2-5 years 

Basic knowledge of business administration (e.g., reporting, budget planning).

Good communication skills with fluency in English and German (preferably).

Knowledge of ISM system.

Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally.
