Consortio has partnered with a leading port agency offering expertise across tanker, dry bulk, cruise, and more. Our client delivers top-tier service and competitive cargo management solutions, supported by a strong tradition and core values in the shipping industry.

As part of their expansion, they are seeking a Trainee Port Agent. In this entry-level role, you will assist in coordinating port and husbandry services while being mentored by experienced Port Agents. Your duties will include learning to book vessels with Port Authorities, arrange pilotage, towage, and other necessary services like waste removal and fresh water. You’ll also assist in organizing crew changes, medical appointments, and learn to manage all necessary paperwork. As you grow in the role, you will support the management of port calls through GATSHIP, help process service invoices, and provide cargo and sailing updates to all relevant parties.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Strong interest in maritime and shipping industries.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Full UK driving license or working towards obtaining one.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Our client offers a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional growth within the shipping industry. The right candidate will receive competitive training, a salary package, and the chance to develop a rewarding career in port agency services.
