Our client is a ship owner and ship operator with over 90 years of experience in the shipping industry. From the 1930s to the 1960s they were operating with dry cargo vessels, however, since 1961 they have been a part of the European small tanker market. They have successfully overcome the challenges faced over the past 5 years and are now looking forward to increasing the size of their fleet into 2023 and beyond.


An exciting opportunity for a vessel operator to join their growing team has become available and successful candidates will be responsible for the entire commercial operation of 5-6 tanker vessels. This role will involve a mixture of commercial vessel operations and also post fixture operation. You will be operating under time and voyage charters in European waters. In addition to this you will be expected to coordinate the day-to-day operational activities, liaising with the Marine Superintendent and any external agents to ensure efficient commercial operation. Furthermore, you will be expected to liaise with charterers and management with respect to vetting inspections and port visits.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have the following:
 

  • 3+ years’ experience with tankers as a vessel / ship operator.
     
  • 3+ years with vessel operation across European waters.
     
  • Experienced in post fixture vessel operation.
     
  • Fluent in English.Have the right to work in the EU.
