Our client operates the world’s largest fleet of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carriers. Their fleet of 76 vessels serve international supply chains of oil majors and commodity traders all over the globe. They have significant commercial and technical capabilities across pressurised and semi-pressurised transportation but have a real focus on refrigerated LPG vessels carrying Ethane or Ethylene. The company maintains integrity throughout the whole business and is constantly seeking ways to build a sustainable future within the gas market.
 

The role is for an Engineering Vetting Auditor and your main responsibility will be to prepare and verify that the vessel is ready for Vetting inspections. You will complete regular trips to their entire fleet and will be responsible for ensuring vessels comply with Statutory regulation and the Company’s SMS procedures. Furthermore, you will carry out inspections and identify areas for improvement and verify the implementation of the corrective and preventive action in coordination with the respective Fleet Manager Vetting in Singapore or Copenhagen. Due to the nature of travelling with this job you will be out of your home country for over 6 months of the year.
 

In order to be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 

  • Sailed as a Chief Engineer OR  Master / Chief Officer on Gas Carriers for 24 months.
  •  Shore experience with Gas Carriers or Tankers will be seen as an advantage.
  •  Be flexible to travel to Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
  •  Have strong levels of teaching and communication skills.
  •  Be well versed in MS Office.
