Our client is a leading international ship management organisation with a global presence and extensive experience managing vessels across multiple sectors. We are currently looking for an Assistant QHSE Manager Offshore to join the team in the Netherlands, supporting the management of an offshore vessel fleet. Reporting directly to the QHSE Manager, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of vessel management systems while carrying out internal audits, inspections, risk assessments and accident investigations. The role will also involve mentoring and advising Masters, Chief Engineers and Safety Officers, coordinating external audits, monitoring fleet performance, maintaining QHSE documentation and supporting training, emergency drills and continuous improvement initiatives. Short business trips will also be required as part of the position.
The requirements for this role are:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nautical Sciences, Marine Engineering or an equivalent discipline
- Strong knowledge of QHSE principles, industry standards and QHSE management systems
- Understanding of offshore marine operations, safety protocols and environmental considerations
- Experience with internal and external audits, incident investigations and compliance
- Sailing experience within the offshore oil & gas sector would be advantageous
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems
