Our client is one of the largest shipping companies in Holland providing complete ship management to a number of ship owners.  Its fleet comprises of chemical tankers, bulkers, general cargo and container ships with rapid expansion forecasted for this year.  
 

This role is available due to an internal promotion during the course of a bit of a restructure of the management team.  Therefore this ensures there is a requirement for a new Assistant Technical Superintendent to join at a time when they are planning to bring more ships into the business.  You will work alongside 6 Technical Superintendents and participate in all activities that is required of them including the execution of dry dockings, supervision of engineers and financial planning.  Our client will seek to progress you over the course of the next couple of years up to Technical Superintendent through training, development and mentoring from senior team members including the Fleet Manager.
 

You could come from a multitude of backgrounds to be suitable for this job. Likely though you will have sailed as a Chief engineer or Master mariner and be looking to come ashore for the first time.  Or alternatively perhaps you have already been working ashore in a different type of role and seeking to move in to this type of role.
