They are currently seeking an experienced Vessel Operator to join their team based in Rotterdam. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day commercial and operational management of assigned vessels, ensuring voyages are executed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. You will be responsible for voyage planning including port calls, cargo operations, bunkering, and scheduling, while acting as the primary liaison between charterers, ship captains, agents, terminals, and internal stakeholders. The position involves monitoring voyage performance such as demurrage and freight calculations, ensuring compliance with charter party terms and regulatory requirements, mitigating operational risks, and supporting initiatives that enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
The requirements for this role are,
Proven experience as a Vessel Operator, ideally within the chemical tanker sector
Strong understanding of charter parties, laytime calculations and demurrage management
Excellent commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
Experience managing multiple vessels and stakeholders simultaneously
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team environment
Fluency in English; Dutch is advantageous
