We are seeking for a Marine Fuel 'Back to Back' Trader to join a dynamic team in Hong Kong / Shanghai / Singapore. The successful candidate will engage in the purchase and sale of marine fuel and associated products, fostering profitable and longstanding relationships with a portfolio of counterparties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively market to a portfolio of new and existing customers.
- Establish and build relationships to increase enquiries and sales of products and services.
- Communicate openly with other traders to maximize the efficient flow of market and customer intelligence.
- Support international colleagues by diligently working on inbound enquiries from other regional offices.
- Understand, analyze, and interpret market conditions.
- Identify counterparty needs, provide product and price information, negotiate deals, and handle sales administration.
- Proactively control credit risk by chasing late payments and minimizing claim costs.
- Regularly assess counterparty financial strength in conjunction with the Credit Team.
- Leverage the Group’s global network to develop and expand the company’s business portfolio.
- Ensure all sales opportunities are identified and maximized.
Requirements:
- Business-level English is essential
- Mandarin, Cantonese is a bonus
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Persuasive and influential, with strong negotiation abilities.
- Ability to listen and respond effectively to supplier/customer queries and solve problems.
- Analytical and strategic thinking, with an understanding of the wider business context.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning and development.
