As a Technical Superintendent based in Singapore, you will take full technical responsibility for a fleet of tanker vessels, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with international regulations. You will oversee planned maintenance, technical troubleshooting, dry dockings, budget management, surveys, and vessel performance while acting as the key link between ship and shore. Working closely with crews, commercial teams, and third-party suppliers, you will play a vital role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting the ongoing success of the fleet.
The requirements for this role are:
- Minimum of 2 years' shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent working with Tankers
- Previous sailing experience as a Chief Engineer
- Experience managing vessel operational and capital expenditure budgets
- Knowledge of planned maintenance systems, dry docking, statutory surveys, and regulatory compliance
- Strong understanding of technical, operational, and HSEQ requirements
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced technical environment
