Our client is a leading global shipbroking and consultancy company that has been operating over the past 40 years. Their heaviest presence is in the wet market, where they are able to serve an array of industries such as Liquid & Gas Chemical, Vegetable Oil, Biofuel, Crude Oil and Petroleum. In addition to this, they are known to operate within the dry bulk market. They have an immense global presence within their markets and have offices located in the USA, Europe, The Middle East, and Far East Asia. Each office within the company is made up of self-motivated, hungry charterers who always looking to grow and develop within their chosen market.


This role is for an experienced charterer to join the Rotterdam office and be part of a small but growing chartering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the chartering of MR and GP vessels, sized between 5-25000 DWT. You will be directly reporting to the Business Development Manager who promotes individual and productive work. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be experienced with both time and spot charters and are well versed in negotiation. Furthermore, you will be responsible for chartering vessels across Northern Europe trade routes and for managing the exports / imports to the Atlantic Basin and The Far East. In addition to this you will need a personable style and hold your clients needs in the highest regard.


In order to be a successful candidate, you will need:

  • 3 years + experience in chartering MR vessels
     
  • Thrive in an independent working environment
     
  • Have the ability to build your own personal network
     
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the Northern Europe trade network
