With a commitment to innovation and efficiency, we're seeking a talented Data Engineer with expertise in Azure BI Stack, report design, and data visualization platforms to join our dynamic team.
As a Data Engineer specializing in the maritime industry, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions to optimize operations, enhance decision-making processes, and drive business growth. Leveraging your expertise in Azure BI Stack and data visualization platforms, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to transform raw maritime data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and integrate maritime data from various sources.
- Build and optimize data models and databases to support analytics, reporting, and visualization requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical requirements for data solutions.
- Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI or similar platforms to provide insights into maritime operations and performance metrics.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle, implementing best practices and standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering and maritime domain to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong experience working as a Data Engineer within the maritime industry.
- Proficiency in Azure BI Stack, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Analysis Services, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Expertise in report design and data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and database design principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
