They are now searching for a qualified Dry Cargo Operator to join the team in Groningen, Netherlands.

 

The Dry Cargo Operator will be responsible for the daily operations of a number of vessels, ensuring smooth and efficient activities. Key responsibilities include managing all operational and post-fixing matters for assigned vessels, scheduling voyages, procuring voyage-related services, and ensuring all contractual terms and conditions are met. The Operator will also handle administrative voyage filing, analyse voyage results, prepare and control cargo documents, invoices, and disbursement accounts, and manage bunkering operations. In this position, you will report to the Manager Operations Department.

The Dry Cargo Operator will oversee all operational and post-fixing matters for assigned vessels, schedule voyages, and procure voyage-related services with captains and port agents, ensuring all contractual terms and conditions are met. They will handle administrative voyage filing, analyse voyage results and commercial performance, prepare and control cargo documents, invoices, and disbursement accounts, and manage bunkering operations. This role requires frequent contact with captains, agents, and customers to ensure efficient and smooth vessel operations.

 

Qualifications needed:

  • Shipping education with relevant qualifications.
  • Experience as a vessel operator with practical expertise in shipping.
  • Commercial, negotiating, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • A 24/7 mentality.
  • Good communication skills, a team player mentality, accuracy, and a service-minded attitude.
  • A logical approach to problems and capability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent knowledge of English, verbal and written; German and/or French is an advantage.
  • Citizen of the European Union.
