My Client are now looking to hire a Head of Technical to lead the newly combined Technical and Purchasing Departments. This is a key leadership role where you’ll be responsible for aligning both departments to operate efficiently, supporting vessel readiness, project delivery, and long-term asset performance.
The Role:
-Oversee both the technical and purchasing functions under one integrated team
-Lead and motivate a group of experienced professionals
-Ensure efficient support to the fleet and project teams
-Report directly to the Director
-Drive improvements in reliability, cost control, and team performance
What You Bring
-Proven experience in a shore-based technical management role within offshore, barge, or marine operations - 10+ years
-A background as an onboard Engineer (offshore vessels, barges, or similar)
-Strong leadership and team management skills
-Understanding of purchasing processes in a technical environment
-Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are a plus
-EU working rights and based in or willing to relocate to the Netherlands
