Our client has an exciting new role - Singapore-based company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and delivery of mechanical cargo handling equipment (e.g., for Ro-Ro vessels and car carriers). Having focused on projects primarily in Asia, we are now expanding our presence in Europe due to increasing deliveries to vessels operating on European routes. To support this growth, we aim to establish a dedicated local service hub in Europe.

Hiring Background

We are looking for a senior-level manager to lay the foundation for our European service operations and lead the expansion of our aftermarket business, including spare parts sales, repair, and inspection services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the establishment and management of a European service hub
  • Plan and execute aftermarket business strategies for spare parts sales, repair, and inspection
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with clients and shipyards
  • Recruit and lead a local team to support service operations
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams at headquarters (Singapore) to establish technical support systems

Qualifications:

  • No restrictions on nationality, educational background, or age
  • Proven leadership experience in managing marine equipment service businesses (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical components)
  • Preferably with an existing network among European shipyards or shipowners
  • Strong self-motivation and excellent communication skills

Location:

Rotterdam or Hamburg. Other major European port cities may be proposed
