Our client is a leading shipping industry partner offering global shipping agency services and hub solutions to an array of clients and ports all over the world. Acting as the one stop solution for charterers, ship managers and ship owners/operators they have an immense global presence. The challenges that the shipping industry and ports around the globe have faced over the past 3 years has caused a lot of damage and resulted in a number of ship agents closing down. However, despite these challenges, our client is constantly reaching new heights and is now looking to expand into different corners of the world.
 

The role is for a Husbandry Agent, and you will be responsible for visiting ships on their arrival and departure into port. Furthermore, you will maintain daily contact with customer, ships, and authorities to ensure a smooth operation from start to finish. You will be expected to coordinate and control deliveries on board ships and also plan crew changes which includes arranging taxis and hotels for all crew members.
 

In order to be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 

  • Have relevant shipping experience or an enthusiasm for shipping.
     
  •  Have strong communicational skills.
     
  •  Have strong organisational skills.
     
  •  Be fluent in English – both written and verbal.
     
  •  Be fluent in Dutch – both written and verbal.
     
  •  Own a valid Driving license.
