The Insurance Officer role involves managing marine insurance policies and handling claims efficiently, ensuring comprehensive coverage for the company’s fleet. The Insurance Officer will liaise with P&I Clubs, underwriters, brokers, and legal advisors to coordinate claims handling and risk mitigation. You will play a key role in minimizing the company’s exposure to insurance risks while supporting day-to-day operational needs.
 

The requirements for this role are:
 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience handling marine insurance and claims within the shipping industry
     
  • Strong familiarity with Protection & Indemnity (P&I) Claims and related processes
     
  • University degree in maritime law or a related maritime discipline
     
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage insurers and internal stakeholders
     
  • Ability to analyze complex insurance documents and policies
     
  • Proactive approach to identifying potential insurance risks and implementing preventive measures
     
  • Fluency in English - both written and verbal
