As the firm continues to expand its practice in response to growing client demand, it is now seeking a Junior Litigator to join its specialist maritime litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop within a firm renowned for technical precision, professional integrity, and success in handling complex international disputes.
The Junior Litigator will play a key role in supporting senior lawyers across a range of high-profile maritime cases. Responsibilities include conducting detailed legal research on maritime statutes, conventions, and case law, alongside drafting pleadings, submissions, and legal opinions. The role also encompasses managing case documentation and evidence, assisting with court and arbitration procedures, and liaising with clients, surveyors, and opposing counsel to ensure seamless case progression. This position demands strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced legal environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
- Demonstrated experience or strong exposure to maritime litigation and navigation disputes.
- Solid understanding or interest in maritime and admiralty law, including international conventions, shipping contracts, and marine insurance.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a professional team environment.
