Consortio have partnered with a growing maritime engineering organisation that is expanding its team due to continued business success. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative and practical engineering solutions within the maritime sector, they are now seeking a Junior Naval Architect to join their engineering team in The Netherlands.
The Junior Naval Architect will support the development of maritime designs across a range of projects, working closely with experienced engineers and project teams to deliver effective technical solutions. The role will involve assisting with stability and design calculations, translating technical requirements into practical designs, and contributing to the preparation of engineering documentation. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career naval architect to develop their technical capabilities while gaining valuable experience within a collaborative engineering environment.
The successful candidate will contribute to design reviews, support continuous improvement within engineering processes, and build their knowledge across a variety of maritime projects. This role is suited to a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is eager to develop within the naval architecture field and take on increasing responsibility over time.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- A completed MBO, HBO, or WO degree in Maritime Engineering or a similar field
- 0–2 years of experience within a technical or maritime environment
- Basic knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or BricsCAD
- Experience or understanding of maritime design principles is advantageous
- A structured and accurate approach to engineering tasks
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- A proactive and inquisitive attitude towards learning and development
- Fluency in Dutch is desired
