Consortio is proud to be working in partnership with a globally recognised marine consultancy providing independent marine warranty and technical advisory services to the offshore energy and maritime sectors. Operating across complex offshore transportation and installation projects, the organisation is highly regarded for its technical authority, rigorous risk management approach and commitment to delivering safe, compliant marine operations. As part of its continued growth and project expansion, the organisation is now seeking to appoint a Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) to strengthen its specialist advisory capability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing independent marine warranty approvals and technical oversight across a wide range of offshore projects. Core duties will include the review and approval of method statements, risk assessments, engineering calculations and marine operation procedures relating to loadouts, heavy lifts, towages, transportations and offshore installations. The role will involve attending key marine operations — including sail-aways and offshore installation activities — issuing Certificates of Approval (CoA) and ensuring full compliance with recognised industry guidelines and best practice. You will liaise closely with developers, EPC contractors, vessel owners and underwriters, delivering clear technical recommendations while maintaining the highest standards of professional reporting and advisory integrity.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- Master Mariner, Chief Engineer, Naval Architect or equivalent maritime qualification.
- 5–10 years’ experience operating as a Marine Warranty Surveyor within offshore energy or complex marine projects.
- Strong background in offshore installation, heavy lift, subsea construction or marine transportation projects.
- Proven experience reviewing and approving technical documentation including method statements, stability analyses and seafastening calculations.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of relevant industry guidelines such as IMCA, ISO standards and class requirements.
- Ability to act independently with sound technical judgement and confident decision-making capability.
- Willingness to travel internationally and attend offshore operations as project requirements dictate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured technical reports.
This opportunity offers the chance to join a respected and technically driven consultancy where safety, precision and independent judgement are central to its operations. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the delivery of high-value offshore projects within a dynamic and internationally focused environment. If this opportunity aligns with your experience and long-term career objectives, Consortio invites you to submit your CV for confidential consideration.
